This is relevant in the gaming industry with things towards females characters with all the objectify qualities that games show whether it be female characteristic or just being able to prostitute females. even though things are put into said games as voluntary things which things you do not have to do but there is certain people that will do said things for incentives like in Grand theft Auto where it gives you better endurance or XP in other games.

After a while these images begin to [slowly and cumulatively] shape what we know and what we understand about the world" Video Games are a major part of pop Culture and even though people don't play video games almost everyone has knowledge of some video game. most games today have a male protagonist who at some point most save the girl like in Mario or the game it self is related to protecting women or things of that manor. Society today I believe while yes society is wrong for doing such things but it is more of a traditional way of doing games it self and some games stray away from that which is good like gears of war which is a very gory masculine game has switched to a female character which I believe is a good move on the companies part. But I also don't Believe this is the biggest problem with the gaming community while it is a problem which should change there are more problem that could be effected by a change in culture like this from games such as Mario all the way to games such as resident evil and games in between.
